FanArtPolooza - Plushies by Mrs-Lovetts-Meat-Pie FanArtPolooza - Plushies by Mrs-Lovetts-Meat-Pie
So here's my second entry for the 2010 FanArtPolooza contest that :iconthe-dreamer-fans: is holding!

I decided to make plushies! I had this idea for a long time but I finally got around to actually making them for this contest. I wanted to make all of the Revolutionary War cast so I made (left to right) Freddy Knowlton, Colonel Thomas Knowlton--with his scruffiness, Alexander Hamilton--with his freckles, Alan Warren, Beatrice Whaley, and Nathan Hale in front--with his spontoon.

Each of them are about 5 inches tall and hand sewn. They're made with stitches, felt, glue and love! Keep in mind that these are the first things I've ever sewn in my life. I've never picked up a needle and thread until last week when I started!

Each of these characters are from :iconcomic-chic:'s comic The Dreamer. If you haven't read it yet, go read it!

P.S. They look a lot better in person!

Haha, aw thank you!!! These were the first plushies/first time I had ever sewn so the plushies are getting better now, but I was pretty pleased on how these guys came out for a first try! :D And I just looked at your Percy Doll that you made, and it's quite impressive! He's adorable!

You're welcome! I just learned to sew with a machine a few weeks ago. So I'm hoping to get a sewing machine sometime soon and then I'd be able to start sewing these plushies a lot faster!

I took sewing lessons at a local fabric store since they were having a sale. Granted, I was the youngest person there and they treated me like I was 5, but it was okay! And costumes are really hard to make, but once you get the hang of it, they're great. I'm working on an 18th century gown and stays at the moment. I just need one day to sit down and do it, but I can't wait until it's done! I love sewing so much now!

Hehehehe I sort of taught myself, there's still a lot I need to learn how to do though. Ooooh! An 18th century gown you say? How cool! I love that type of stuff so much 8D

I taught myself to hand sew but needed help when it came to the machine! And yes, it's a Rococo dress! I love that stuff too. It's my favorite era of history! And that says a lot considering I want to be a history teacher! =P
